Elizabeth E. Richert, born Claremont, California, June 28, 1976; admitted to the bar, 2001; Illinois and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Richert concentrates her practice in the area of bankruptcy. She has represented debtors, creditors, and equity holders in complex chapter 11 cases and reorganizations. Ms. Richert assisted in two recent cases before Judge Wedoff, the Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois: In re Cytomedix, Inc., a publicly-held biotech concern (reorganized in June, 2002); and In re Longview Aluminum, LLC, an aluminum smelter purchased for $167 million from Reynolds Aluminum in 2001 (co-counseled with Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl, Young, Jones & Weintraub). Ms. Richert also participates in complex business litigation cases, with an emphasis on legal malpractice, commercial fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. |
